Ralph Kenke is a visual communication designer, researcher and academic whose practice explores typography, visual systems, interaction design, prototyping and emerging technologies. His work has received international recognition, including awards from the New York Type Directors Club and AGDA, and has been exhibited nationally and internationally.

His work has been published by Onestar Press, Verlag Hermann Schmidt and Hannibal Verlag. He is co-founder of Kenke+Trefz and designpool.org, a co-design initiative connecting NGOs with emerging designers to facilitate practice-based design research.

Ralph is currently a Lecturer in Visual Communication Design at the University of Newcastle, Australia, where he is Program Convenor for the Bachelor of Visual Communication Design and a member of FASTlab.
